Starscape (Toronto Edition)

February 23rd - 26th, 2017 – Honest Ed’s

Installation of the original visual music piece Starscape (Toronto Edition). Commissioned for aMAZEment: Immersive Art Maze as part of An Honest Farewell: The First, Last & Only Farewell To Honest Ed’s.

”I am fascinated by the visual transformation of the city from day to night. During the day, specific and identifiable forms (buildings, trees, roads, etc.) combined with the hustle and bustle of the city can become visually chaotic, but at night everything distills into twinkling lights in the darkness; by reducing all of the various Toronto neighbourhoods into this abstract entity, their commonality and interconnected nature becomes much more apparent. Much like the stars in our universe, these lights may be big or small, close or far, bright or dim, yet they all have their rightful place in the vast space of our city.”
